To Upload List Data to the Project

You need to upload list data to the project to create the engineering work package.

  1. Open ConstructSim Work Package Server and from the Project info panel, click Project data.
  2. Click the Bulk upload tab.
  3. Click Upload. The Upload Bulk window opens.
  4. Click Select files. The Choose File to Upload dialog opens.
  5. Select the following files:
    • ConstructionWorkAreas.xlsx
    • Contracts.xlsx
    • EquipmentList.xlsx
    • LineList.xlsx
    • ProjectScheduleTask.xlsx
    • Providers.xlsx
    • TurnoverSystems.xlsx
  6. After the checkmark displays to the left of the file name(s), close the Upload Bulk window.
    The files now display in the Bulk upload tab.
  7. Set the List type and Mapping as follows:
    File Name List Type Mapping
    ConstructionWorkAreas.xlsx Areas ConstructionWorkArea.xml
    Contracts.xlsx Personnel Contract.xml
    EquipmentList.xlsx Equipment EquipmentList.xml
    LineList.xlsx Line LineList.xml
    ProjectScheduleTask.xlsx Schedules Schedule.xml
    Providers.xlsx Personnel Provider.xml
    TurnoverSystems.xlsx Turnover Systems TurnoverSystem.xml
  8. In the left column, turn on the check boxes for the files and from the Download selected drop down, select Import. When the import is complete, you will see the message Imported Successfully in the Import status field.

To Download the CAD Datasource Configurations

You need to download the CAD data from the enterprise server so that you can use it to create engineering work packages.

  1. Open ConstructSim Executive and navigate to your project (VEM file) and open it.
  2. From the Workflow panel, go to <your project> > Server Configuration > Import EWP CAD Data Sources.
  3. Right-click and select Run. This step configures the information needed to download the engineering work packages from the CAD Converters.
